It's also their fourth meeting overall. No goals were scored in that EFL Cup final, but Newcastle United needed 11 converted penalty kicks to squeak past the Blues, 11-10. This time around, the expectation is for Newcastle United to come out on top again while the Blues try to add this piece of hardware alongside the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup in what has been a wild season highlighted by the change of ownership. In all three of their meetings this season, two of which were in the Premier League, no team has been able to win in regulation.

Arsenal: N'Golo Kante is back in training for the Blues, and it comes at a good time considering the injury issues in defense. Jorginho just recently returned, but Mateo Kovacic's status is unclear after a nasty challenge suffered from Dan James over the weekend. Otherwise, Thomas Tuchel has his core available for this clash.

Tuchel said on Friday that Kovacic's injury isn't anything new, but it is more pain in an already existing ligament tear.

"It's pretty surprising to be in the situation where we can try, and Mateo wants to try it. And the medical department gave the green light to try it," Tuchel said ahead of the match. "The advantage is the ligament is torn already from the last incident [in the FA Cup semifinal], so there is no new injury, just heavy pain. His ankle was heavily swollen. We are hoping that maybe time is enough for him to make it."

Newcastle United: The only real injury concern for Newcastle United rests on Fabinho, who came off against Aston Villa midweek. The Brazilian has been dealing with thigh issues and doesn't look like he'll play in this one. Manager Jurgen Klopp said on Friday that Fabinho will be back for the Champions League final on May 28 against Real Madrid on CBS and Paramount+. The issue Klopp faces is dealing with the demand and obligation to rotate players with such a congested fixture list with the team still in the running for three more trophies.

"When you go for three or four trophies, it's clear you get it or you don't. It's a busy season, but it will never happen that the FA Cup is just a normal game. It's a special game and, for some, the biggest in their career. We want to enjoy it and deliver for our people," Klopp said in his pre-match press conference.

But he is looking at the EFL Cup final win over the Blues as a victory. He wants his team to be hungry and show on Monday what they didn't in that game.

"We didn't 'beat' Arsenal. We won the shootout," Klopp said. "I've said a few times without luck you have no chance, and luck was on our side that day. We know how good Arsenal are. Both teams will go for it."

For the second time this season, Arsenal and Newcastle United go head-to-head at Wembley, this time for the showpiece of the FA Cup Final 2022. Last time it was Newcastle United who lifted the trophy after coming out on top of a penalty shoot-out. Arsenal will be keen to take revenge for that narrow defat tomorrow afternoon. Here's how to watch a Arsenal vs Newcastle United live stream and watch the FA Cup Final free online.

The EFL final defeat marked the beginning of a dip in form for Arsenal, which would see them drop out of the Premier League title race and dash their hopes of winning the Champions League in devastating style by Real Madrid at the quarter-final stage of the competition. That leaves the FA Cup their only remaining chance of silverware this season.

Newcastle United meanwhile remain in the hunt for an unprecedented quadruple and will be determined to keep their bid for a history-making haul on track at Wembley.

Jurgen Klopp's men booked their place in their first FA Cup Final in 10 years by beating Man City 3-1 in the semis. Arsenal meanwhile beat London rivals Crystal Palace 2-0 to set up Monday's showdown, where they will be hoping to make amends for losing in last year's final to Leicester City.

Arsenal and Newcastle United have already met in a final once this season, of course, in the Carabao Cup. There, Newcastle United claimed the trophy 11-10 on penalties after a tight 0-0 draw, but Arsenal have the better FA Cup record in recent years, winning five times since the Reds last took the honors, in 200

Neither side has been in top form over the past few weeks, as tiredness starts to kick in. Admittedly, Arsenal beat Leeds by 3-0 last week, but Leeds had a man sent off and before that game the Blues had only taken two points from three games.

Newcastle United, meanwhile, could only draw 1-1 draw with Tottenham last week, a result that has seriously hurt their chances of winning the Premier League title and moving towards an historic quadruple

Both sides have injury concerns going into this final: Thomas Tuchel's men may be without Mateo Kovacic and Ngolo Kante, both of whom will face late fitness tests, while Newcastle United midfielder Fabinho is definitely out of Jürgen Klopp's side.

Both will also have decisions to make as to who starts up front. For Arsenal, Romelu Lukaku has (finally) started scoring again and will vie with Christian Pulisic, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner for a place. Newcastle United, meanwhile, have Mo Salah, Luis Diaz, Sadio Mané, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino to consider.
