About the event
This intensive two day course provides the tools necessary to identify and understand environmental laws, liabilities and issues and apply practical solutions for managing them and using them in your business.
This course has been especially designed for environmental, WHS and site managers taking on new environmental management responsibilities as well as for site managers needing to understand their corporate and personnel liabilities. Key topic areas include:
A session on environmental law to protect your company from pollution prosecutions, covering NSW pollution and other laws
The main risk areas from practical to legal covering:
- Dealing with contaminated land, legal to remediation methods
- Waste management – hazardous to recycling and exemptions
- Air pollution and odour, what are the limits and how to control it
- Water pollution, what is it and how to control it
- Noise pollution, measurement & dealing with neighbours
- How to manage, negotiate and vary Environmental Protection Licenses – with Load-Based and Risk-Based licensing discussed
- Receive management guidance through our Environmental risk management workshop
- How to go beyond compliance and how ISO 14001 Environmental Management System works
