In this on-demand webinar, you will hear how BCSD Australia member the City of Sydney and forward-thinking businesses in its local government area are working to make Sydney a sustainable destination of choice.
The City has created the Making Sydney a Sustainable Destination Plan and created the Sustainable Destination Partnership in response to increasing sustainability awareness and expectations of tourists and also to help meet its 2030 sustainability goals, which includes a 70% reduction in emissions.
The Sustainable Destination Partnership is a collaboration of hotels, backpacker hostels, serviced apartments, cultural institutions, entertainment venues and industry influencers working together to make Sydney a sustainable destination. The Partnership members are focussed on tackling energy and water use, sustainable procurement and waste avoidance.
In the webinar recording below, BCSD Australia CEO, Andrew Petersen, discusses the Sustainable Destination Partnership with Pip Harley, Sustainability Engagement Manager at the City of Sydney, and with Gaylord Lamy, the General Manager of The Langham, Sydney
